Ok I got some lexan plastic for free and i think that it would be good for making a tank,has anyone ever done this?

Ok I got some lexan plastic for free and i think that it would be good for making a tank,has anyone ever done this?
I used some lexan to build a custom tank for my girls. I only used it to replace two sides of glass on two tanks (one side in each tank) It's not as sturdy as glass, what I mean by this is, it's easier to scratch and move but it's still strong. I didn't build a whole tank out of it though, but to be honest I think it would work fine. Your best bet would be to make a frame around the top and bottom of the tank you want to make just so it stays put better. If that doesn't make sense, let me know and I'll try to reexplain it!
