Assuming a scale of 1-10??
#1tameness = 5 (he's still a baby, only halfway there)
#2coolness = 10 (I love igs!)
#3money costs = set-up 2 (VERY expensive), maintenance 7 (not cheap, but NOTHING compared to my parrots!!
#4appatite = 9 (he's a hog. Will glare for an hour or so over new foods, but then eats them anyway.)
#5energy = 7 (not the most active pet, but cruises around pretty good as long as he is warm enough. Without appropriate heat, he can go DAYS without moving.)
#6 overall (rate yr IG overall) = 7 (he's getting there, but still needs daily work)
Wendy
Enclose is a picture of one of my rescues.

Ah, what a sweetie! Is she a plucker, or was the feather loss from illness? So glad she has a good home now!
I have a Noble Macaw and a female Eclectus, pic below.
Wendy

I love that baby look, when they still have a yellow-tipped beak!Is she a solomon or a red-sided? Me and my friend breed solomons. I've a boy and a girl that I have kept, and two boys who will be sold soon. I have other birds too - cockatoo, conures, tiels, pheasant, etc.
Nice to know I'm not the only one with a mixed group of critters!
She's a Solomon Island. That baby yellow is nearly gone now, just a bit left on the tip, and her eyes are just beginning to change. I also have Gouldian finches and zebra finches, not to mention 4 cats, 2 ferrets, 2 Eastern box turtles, 1 ball python, 1 Madagascar Giant day gecko, saltwater fish, and, of course, 1 green iguana.
Wendy
I also have two green pets with six legs between them... I have a Yellow Nape Amazon...
Alright lets try this out
I have two igs, a male 5.4ft and a female around 3.5ft
#1 Tameness: Male- Dog tame, likes to lounge. Female- Cranky and irritable, will bite and tailwhip if bothered *shes also not very healthy*
#2 Coolness: Male- Cool as all heck, big large lizard that likes to hang out, and rub his head like a dog. Female- Cool if you like cranky lizards that bite, but shes my sweetie.
#3 Money: Both have cost me a great ammount of money, time, and stress. The conversion of the 10x8x8ft room into a enclosure, complete with heating, lights, and logs over 250$, yearly vet bills if taken every time there supposed to, just over 250$ again a year. Food costs? LOTS. they're both big and eat like savage beasts, atleast 10$ a week. Cost of paper towels to clean up all the love puddles they leave twice daily, 10$ a week.. my sanity? priceless...
#4 Appetite: Very large appetite. at small sizes iguanas dont chew up the cash so quick, but once large like mine they eat like houses. whole sprigs of collard greens, every dandelion and green found in my yard, and piles of raddichio are there favorites. Unless ya live down south, the collards are the most expensive.
#5 OVERALL: Overall, i'd rate my two iguanas this way. The male, a 8, the female? i'd rate it at a 6. Hope this helps you.
-Charlie, Geno & Martha-

just consider yourself LUCKY on food costs. you say $10 for a week?! for 2 lizards. 2 of my lizards eat around $10 A DAY! thought i mite post this
and i buy from the cheapest place i can find. which is rodentpro.com they eat sooooo much :/
im 16 and have a great job so i can pay for them. they're well worth it
I must know what sort of lizard eats $10 worth of rodents a day. Are they eating jumbo rats? I get mice for .30 a piece, and so $10 of rodents seems like a lot to me.
(my guess is a large monitor)
i said 2 lizards not just one
i have a large Blackthroat and a large Argentine black and white tegu. they eat a lot :/
.....
I have two big males and a youngster, but I'll only rate Kaaz who is my favorite.
>>#1tameness - 5. He is not tame, but he is fairly good around people.
>>#2coolness - 0 when I am attacked, 10 when he does something awesome, like respond to eye contact from 2 rooms away.
>>#3money costs 10(extremely high!) for setup, and for heat/light during winter, 4-5 in the summer when he gets to be outdoors.
>>#appetite - 2 in breeding season, 7 at other times. His temper is worse when he's hungry, so I have to make sure he eats when in breeding mode.
>>#5energy - 10 when attacking, 5-7 when exploring, 1-2 at all other times.
>>#6 overall - 7 in my opinion, 3-4 as far as the rest of my family is concerned.

Okay I have three so I'll rate each of them.
1 Tameness
Raptor - 10 - doesn't tailwhip, bite or even "posture" enjoys following us around lets you know when he wants picked up or held which can be often!
Iggy - 8 - doesn't bite or tailwhip when in cage (at least me!) tailwhips some at my husband, will tailwhip when first getting out of cage but then calms down.
Juji - 8 - doesn't bite tailwhips when first getting out of her cage then will sit on your shoulder like a little baby!
2 Coolness
I have to give all three of them a 10 I love them all!
3 money costs
Raptor probably an 8 We built a really nice large cage for about $150. Vet bills can be high but he has only needed very basic checkups as I have trained now to do fecals for parasites etc.
Iggy about a 7. We adopted him with his own cage but we did a lot of motifications on it also same as Raptor on vet.
Juji an 8. We also completely made her a new cage. We have real trees that have aged then been bleached and treated in all their cages and fake vines, ropes and a semi swinging shelf in each cage.
4 appetite
Raptor is a pig a 10! You know those really large silver dog dishes you buy at Walmart? He eats two-three full a day!
Iggy a 7. He eats well but only one-two of the smaller size bowls a day.
Juji a 7 also one-two smaller bowls a day.
We grow our own plants so for the spring summer and most of fall food costs are nothing but it can add up in the winter when most plants are out of season here in Missouri!
5 energy
Raptor 6. Likes to swim will follow after you but mainly basks in his UVB and heat lamp!
Iggy 8 at least when you want to catch him also likes to bask!
Juji 9 when she's trying to find a new escape route so far she hasn't found one in her new cage but she's still trying!
6 overall
Raptor 10. He's over 5ft long eats well really tame only a little less tame during breeding season lets hope it stays that way! Great iguana!
Iggy 8. He's almost 4ft long I really like him but we're still working to get him to a ten hopefully eventually if not we still love him!
Juji 9. She's about 2 1/2 feet long. Doesn't inflict any real damage when she tailwhips and calms really quickly. They are all great!
Stephanie
Sounds like you have 3 great igs! Do you have any pictures of them to post?

Well I'm not really good with my digital camera but here goes.
Here is Raptor
still not really good but you get the idea!
This picture is older it was when we first got him. It shows Iggy in his old cage with screen that they gave us. He's now fixed up about like Raptor's and Juji!s. His just uses wood instead of PVC. His cage now measures about 6'x6'x5'. It used to be about 2 1/2'x4'x3 1/2'. Quite a makeover on the cage!! I'll try to get a new pic soon!
N/P
i have one female ig named lilo. i have to be very honest on this poll because i am biased big time and think she can do no wrong (you know the story....lady with the bratty kids and thinks their angels...yeah..ok)
#1tameness: 7 i've only had her for about 6 or 7 weeks..but she is already very friendly...sometimes
#2coolness: definately a 10
#3money costs:8 eats me out of house and home and the vet bills....god help me the vet bills...although she's healthy.
#appatite 8 like i said eats me out of house and home
#5energy: 7 her energy level could improve. i think it's just because she's "new" to us so everytime she free roams she goes about it really slowly and carefully
#6 overall : 7 overall. i love her very much but she is hard work. that's the only reason she gets a 7.
1=lowest 10=highest
------------------------------------------------
1. Tameness - 10
She is the most tame, well socialized iguana I have ever seen or read about. She will crawl up my arm after her bath, and sit on my shoulder, kissing my ear. We take her outside for walks, and in crowds without a harness. She tolerates strangers well, but dislikes noisey children.
2. Coolness - 10
At 51 inches, she's definitely cool with her head on one of my shoulders, and her tail going down my other arm.
3. Money Costs - 7
We've spent a fair amount of money on vet bills, cat trees, and UVB lights, and LOTS of fresh greens.
4. appetite - 6
We sometimes have to coax her to eat. She can be a picky eater.
5. Energy - 5
When she's playing, or roaming around outside, she's fairly energetic. When basking, she's definitely a lounge lizard.
6. Overall - 10
She's been raised as a family member, not a pet. She acts like it, too.

I just had to reply to this one. That is the cutest ig picture I have ever seen in my life!!! What a doll!
Wendy
Thanks! That's Ig_mommy, with our "daughter". It's really cute when she grabs my wife's shirt, and pulls her down, to nuzzle under her arm. She's the sweetest ig I've ever read about. (Of course I'm biased)!
