Leaving... I need help!

herpin1579 Mar 09, 2004 10:55 AM

Hi,

I will be leaving for LA tomorow and im worried about my beardies. I have 5 7in babies and 2 subadults. I dont think that the guy that lives with us will feed them even if i ask. What should i do? I was thinking about leaving some dry juvi pellets in there and feed them heavily today and tomorow before i leave. I will be gone until sunday afternoon.

Leave the pellet with them. I'd also precut enough salad, cover it in water and put it in the fridge. Beg and plead that he just has to dish it out to them (no real work involved). Good luck. The pellet should hold them over even if he doesn't though.

Sunday is quite a while to leave your dragons unattended. If the guy says he will put salad in, that is ok, but I would still have someone take care of them. If he says no, you might have bitten off toes or tails, dirty cages, and some hungry dragons. Its up to you but I wouldn't leave without setting something up.

I would HAVE to make some kind of arrangements !

Offer the guy a few dollars, to look after them, or offer someone a few dollars,

cheaper than an enormous vet bill, and ALOT Better for the Dragons also, ya know

GOOD LUCK, and have a nice trip !

my beardies LOOOOOVE to eat the flukers freeze dried crickets. i find that if i have to go away for a weekend i can usually leave them with a big bowl of those and some pellets and they do pretty good for themselves. have you ever tried that?

good luck,

amanda
