` I never put snakes together until at least a year of quarantine has passed. Health is the primary consideration, before even having them in the same room.
` I don't think I'd try Anacondas with Carpets. Carpets have different heat location needs, since they can spend much time arboreal. In a giant cage, where you could conceivably have differing ecosystem conditions, maybe. BUT..
`
` The bottom line, for me, is this. These are captive animals, on life support. They have absolutely no say in what happens to them so, in a way, you are the almighty over them. They can't run away [ escape your indiscretions ], like your dog, or cat. If you mix the wrong snakes, and not just for reasons of health, but also behavior, they will suffer terribly, and likely die an awful death. I only mix snakes whose behavior is suitable, and who have very similar husbandry/environmental needs. It takes me about 3 years to feel comfortable in judging an individual snake's behavior potential. Out of all the snakes I have, and I have a few, I have only five who I feel are suited for cohabitation. The rest live alone.
` Of course, that's just my opinion. I could be wrong.
