I seen him crawl in this stuff, lean on some limbs, and then devour a couple flowers. This stuff propogates easily, and will overcome a small area in no time as ground cover.

If the chuck does not also eat on the leaves-- you might consider getting rid of it in the pen since it takes up a lot of room with little "return". This plant looks nice in the mornings out on a fenceline ( someone elses fenceline) when the flowers are fresh. You have to get a Gaillardia in there soon!.

It's not too wild and woody, but I bet you still probably know. I haven't seen him (the chuck) eat any flowers from here yet. If you look closely, you can see Chili (my collared lizard), and Yarrow..my yarrow. ;P

Merrik told me "Undies" was hard to see in the rocks, because he has good camoflauge. I asked him (almost four years old) where he learned that...from my sister (5.5 years old). I love the discovery and animal planet!!!

I like them...purdy flowers, and they grow everywhere around here, alongs side the highways. When it gets mowed, it shoots up a woody (stem) and produces lots and lots of blooms. It call grow tall with flowers, or produce just as many close to the ground. I hope the chuck likes them.

Rafinesquia ( or something like that)-- I have some seeds from a desert chickory I collected in Az but many are all mixed up with jillions other seeds. I guess I 'll toss em by the handfull & see what happens. I would ( he said "would"-Huhhhg- huuuhgh) guess chucks would ( huhhggg)eat em.
