tape measure?........

,,,,,,either.......

(lay it down and use a cord,to go along body then measure cord)

stuff it into a tube so it's straight then measure?

(all the above)

..........best way...just guess.......then subtract a foot(especially if you are a fisher)

.......why measure?.....why weigh?........when they are at 4 foot and 5 pounds..you will know that they are big enough to breed.......

or the day after they lay eggs...you will know they are big enough to breed?

have fun......

The easiet way to measure for me is to take some string, run it along the animals back, and the measure the string.

"""".......why measure?.....why weigh?........when they are at 4 foot and 5 pounds..you will know that they are big enough to breed....... """

HMMMM, Question, how will the person that started this thread know that the animal is 4' and 5# if they do not measure or weigh it?

I said...when it is 4 foot and 5 pounds.they won't care.and it don't matter...they'll just know it's BIG.....

........I gave them 4 ways to do it too......I am helpful while being sarcastic.....

see.......

*Let* your snake slither from your hands to a floor or whatever, until it is completely stretched out.
Place the snake on a floor and in the few seconds it takes to 'gather' itself and start moving mark the nose, vent, and tail tip with dimes. Yep, just like on the putting green.

Also, many snakes will straighten themselves completely if allowed to slither along a wall or baseboard.

Hope this helps.
