It seems that female panthers will ovulate regardless. I've tried everything to slow it down including: feeding less and not letting them see any males. The younger females will lay clutches 6 weeks apart from one mating, which I feel is too much for them to handle.
My question is, will this slow down at any point in their lives? I have a very large female ambilobe that is a little over 2 years old now. I would really like to retire her and let her live out the rest of her life with no more stress.
Has anybody else had any success in retiring their females? If so, please let me know how you did it.
What other things have people tried to slow down ovulation.
Thanks
Vince
