Good News Update!

aseret Mar 09, 2004 10:16 PM

Hi, I posted on here a few weeks ago about my little guy, Puff. His fecal showed coccidiosis, a rather large amount. He wasnt eating, and was losing weight.
Well, today, I am happy to report that he went from 25 sickly grams to 55 grams, and is now over ten inches long. He hadnt grown, then all of a sudden he did. He is eating fully on his own, and a couple of days ago, realized that greens are yummy and is constantly eating them. He is a monster when it comes to attacking crickets and worms. And today, the three week fecal check came back NEGATIVE!!! Now according to the vet, he needs to take the albon for the entire six weeks (Every other day). But, I am just SO happy!!! I now have a healthy, happy little dragon!
I wanted to thank everyone for their help. Without the input and suggestions to get him to the vet, he might not be as happy and healthy as he is now. There have been a few debates in here lately, but I have to say that I cant be more thankful for everyone who helped me out than I was today when the vet called with the good news. So..thanks everyone!! Please keep offering the great suggestions..cuz believe me, they help.

That great! You may want to feed him some acidophilus to replace the good bacteria in his gut. Also, I would bring another fecal in a few weeks just to make sure everything is clear. Good job at getting rid of a very pesky parasite!
