Koda goes back to the breeder...

pepe15 Mar 09, 2004 11:09 PM

Well, I took my little dragon back to the pet store today and was told that the breeder is going to take all of the dragons back and treat them. Hopefully the little guy will make with all of that nastly stuff in his tummy! Question, on a scale of 1-4, with the vet finding 4 on coccidia, flagelets and miotile bacteria is there a chance for a three month old dragon to get better? I know that coccidia can spike due to stress but how does a dragon get the other two bacteria? Because Koda is going back to the breeder, I will not have a chance to buy him back if he does get better. But hopefully that chance fecal will help get him better and alert the breeder to any other dragons being sick as well.

He is probably better being at the breeders for the treatment, they should know all the support methods to see him through the treatment and recheck and should have the experiece to spot any potential problems.

I know it was hard to send him back, after you got attached, but he really needs a good start in life and then if all is well to come back to you who I know will maintain that.

Little ones that go to pet stores, seem to stress worse than most, I think it is because they change enviroments twice in a short time and the stores usually do not have the proper lights, heat and time with them. AT least this breeder cared and picked them up to take care of... thats a plus!

Good luck, both you and him, let us know if you hear anything
