I have an adult male that I got within the last few months and he has white spots on him too. I would love to hear the answer to your question too!!!

Depends on the spots. Scarring can cause loss of color, but I'm not sure if the scales would grow back normally without color in the scarred area. Otherwise, I don't believe that otherwise normally colored snakes with random white spots, i.e. bullseyes or ringers have ever bred out. Could possibly be due to conditions in the egg, maybe (temp fluctuations)?

Kind of vague, I know - sorry!

Maybe you refer to something like this male I´ve bred last year. I like this little guy, but I don´t consider him to be genetic, just good looking.
Best wishes,
Mathias

If it's the snake on the first page of ball python pics, that definitely looks like a scar from what I can see.
