Canadian Source for Incubators???

RedQuake Mar 10, 2004 08:40 AM

Does anyone know where i might be able to buy an incubator in Ontario Canada??? I've searched and one place i've seen them isn't responding to me via email...at least not yet, while another won't have one in for two weeks.

I have my home made one setup and its holding temps but if i can get my hands on a real one that would be great LOL

Thanks for your help

You could try port credit pet centre in Mississauga. They did have them when I last inquired. When I was at the reptile show in February one of the vendors had them for $97.00. Normally they sell for around $129. or more.(canadian funds)

Yep, thats one of the places i was referring to before actually, no word from them yet. I think we need more people with supplies up here LOL.

Thankyou for replying

Your welcome.

You may want to double check the prices because I made an entire order for incubator, lighting, heating, and housing supplies for my beardie at the same time. I got nailed with duty by UPS I think it was 60 bucks on 140 or something like that.

Hi, i did email them, but on their site they said they require a $100.00 order to ship to Canada. I'm hoping that just getting the incubator is Ok, but i'll wait and see what they say. I dread duty expenses.....feels like such a waste of money, thats why i wanted to buy in Canada.....but oh well. whatever i have to do to get one

You can get incubators at most farm supply stores like a COOP if there's one near you. Hovabator is a chicken egg incubator.

Hi,

I called a few places that supply farms and yep, found some that carry incubators.....only they don't have any in stock LOL. Theres one place not far from me that i didn't get a hold of cia phone so i might go over there, once i wake up a bit lol

Thanks

No actually i don't. sorry. Its one made with an aquarium heater (i tried just using a heat pad under a small tank but the temps varied to much. It was holding 82degrees but once it dropped temps outside the temps dropped and raising the room temp to a steady 70 didn't help). There is a picture of one in the photo gallery. Go to Geckos and in the search space type incubator, it'll show up-blue bin with wood on top, i think. Theres alot of posts to that pic including how to make it.
