Anybody know the incubation timeframe for giant carpet eggs? Searched all the usual reference sites and they refer you to lateralis lateralis for info. But I could swear I've heard giant carpets don't incubate as long. thanks

Considering that there seems to be no agreement on whether there such a species as Furcifer major, I doubt you'll find such info. Glaw & Vences ('94) suggest they're just F. lateralis while Necas ('99) agrees with Klaver & Boehme that they're a seperate species. It'll be interesting to see what Necas says when his new edition comes out.

Additionally, in talking with Chris Raxworthy he's indicated that he did not think it was a legitimate taxon.

Chris, is something wrong with the CCIC page? It says "page not found". I've tried to go there a few times over the past week or so.

Kristen,
Yeah its been down for some reason. My webmaster dissapeared a long time ago so it hadn't been up updated or maintained for years now. I'm working on updating it and relocating it but it may take a little while to finish. I'm also clueless about webdesign and what it takes to get a website up so I'm also trying to get help on that end. CCIC isn't dead, just being redone and will hopefully be back in the near future!

Ohhh...Ok...well, glad to hear that it's not dead. I remember it being filled with info...at least I think it was CCIC...black with green writing mostly, right? If not, foot in mouth...hahaha!
Hope you get it all sorted out.
