Another question on tank size

Tas Mar 10, 2004 02:17 PM

Is there an adverse affect with having a hatchling in a 40 breeder? I have read some people recommend keeping them in a smaller tank first and then when they are larger move them to a large tank. But I have also heard of people using a large tank from the beginning. What do you think? For the most part I intend to use rep-cal salads and T-rex dragon food with only adding crickets every once in a while, as a treat, and for convenience. Thanks for all your advice so far.

if the tank is too large for the dragon, he may have difficulty locating food etc... personally i started off with a 20 gal then upgraded to a 75 gal, although i'll admit that's maybe a large jump, and fuego could have used an upgrade slightly sooner than he got one. all good experience for the next generation....

You can just section off the tank and make it bigger and they grow then finally just use the whole tank.
