Sealer For Wood Cages?

xpetsFL Mar 10, 2004 02:46 PM

Does anyone know of a good sealer to use for some wood cages I have? I went to Home Depot and there were so many choices that I decided to post this question to you all. These are large cages that I will be keeping boas in and I would like to use something that will make them relatively easy to clean should there be any seapage through the newspaper. Thanks for your help.

where this guy made the most KILLER wooden tanks. I remembered to write down what he said he used 'cause I'm doing the same thing in a year or two. He used SPAR URETHANE by minwax helmsman for the inside sides and ceiling of the tank (which can be purchased at Home Depot.) For the bottom of the tank he used a product that can be purchased at ACE hardware stores or on-line. It's called "Envirotex Lite" and it's the same stuff used on tables in restaurants and bars. It can be easily applied at least 1/2 inch thick and crystal clear. I wish I could remember the site-his tanks looked like high quality furniture.
