One of my poor toadies died....

TANZEE Mar 10, 2004 05:23 PM

Two days ago we awoke to learn that poor little Hexa had somehow died. She is one of my 10 Fire Bellied Toads. We later realized that she must have gotten zapped by my fogger. I had my fogger inside of a big log standing upright. The toads never went in there because it was difficult for them to get in to. Well, I guess she got in and got zapped...so sad. I didn't know that those things could harm them. I have since taken it out so that none of my other toads will get hurt. It's very unfortunate. RIP Hexa...October 2003-March 2004.

That's messed up. I can't believe the maker of your fogger didn't make a animal safe product! I would complain to them if I were you.

That reminds me of when I tried to hybernate 5 toads when I was a teen. I accidentily set the temperature in the fridge too low and killed all 5. I felt sooooooo aweful.

Yeah, doesn't it suck when you think you're doing everything right and then you find out you messed up!!??
I remember reading on the fogger box to use caution around your reptiles. But I figured..why would they make a fogger that obviously goes in your tank with your animals, if it was seriously dangerous. Geez, may as well stick a freyed wire in there and save yourself the cost of a 60 dollar fogger..
