With all this could, I've been stuck inside a lot. Much of this time is spent watching tv cuz I am lazy, and a good portion of that is spent watching anything i can find about herps. And to wrap up this now very long and drawn out part of my post, I was just watching Animal Planet, and there was a huge toad that reminded me of the good old days of going outside in the pooring rain and finding tons of toads. They seem to love it around my house, probably because of all the flower beds and accompanying bugs. Quite a few of them built little burrows, which they would sit in and wait for anything to walk by.

Ah, memories...

I feel your pain. I want to go out on cool summer nights and find huge american toads out on the deck, eating the mosquitos, and hear green frogs going "ker-plunk" in the pond next door, i cant wait!

Ah, I love cool rainy nights! As of late the calls I hear are American Toads, Western Chorus Frogs, and Leos. Plus, those rainy nights give me the opertunity to catch nightcrawlers. Hopefully this year I'll see many toads because for the last 3 years there was very few because of a drought. Well, hopefully you'll see some of what you want when it gets warmer.
