Listen, I know that you are an 11 year old, and I've been very patient since I have a son almost your age. I have to wonder at this point, since you are so young, and I assume that your parents got this leo for you. Did they not realize you were going to have to feed it? You continue to post the same question over and over again and people have tried their best to help you. If you are bored, and just want to post, that is one thing, I understand how that gets sometimes, but please there has to be other stuff you don't know about. I am a very patient person most of the time, and if my patience is wearing thin, then I know some of the other more short tempered folks on this forum are probably just up to their eyeballs with you posting the same thread. You have been given all the help, from some of the most knowledgeable folks on this board already, it will do you no good to continue asking the same question.
Jeff
Brandon,
Do you have food for your leo now? It sounds like you are too young to take care of a leo all by yourself. Perhaps you should give or sell your leo to a responsible person. You can always get one when you are older.
Just some suggestions,
Matt
i dont have one yet but i just want a reptile real bad but i yet to found one i like until now i found a leopard gecko but i just wants whats best for it and whats best for me
*Brandon*
Just below you asked about mealworm housing. I guess they didn't tell you what size. But, can you really breed mealworms? You seem too young to do it by yourself.
Matt
Ok, I will try to put down as much information as I can for you in this post...
You can keep your mealworms in pretty much whatever you want. They go into the fridge to keep them from pupating and turning into the beetles, which you don't want unless you are going to breed your mealworms. About 2 hours before you want to feed your leo, you take out the amount of worms you want, and put them on some sort of gutload material. This should include your vitamin supplement, and some sort of fiber (i.e. oatmeal, bran, whatever). This gives the mealworms (who have been sleeping), a chance to eat and be more healthy for your leo.
That is pretty much all there is to it. I have access to mealworms (since I manage a pet store). If it makes it easier, and you have the money to do so, myself (or possibly someone else on this forum) could work out a way to get the mealworms, have them prepared and then just ship them to your house all ready to go. I know for one I would be willing to do that for the peace of mind to know your leo is taken care of. There is nothing wrong with asking questions, it just gets frustrated when it seems like you are asking the same ones over and over. I hope some of this helped you.
Jeff
so if they can live good anywhere would 500 or more mealworms be good in a plastic 7 in. long 4 1/2 in. container
Thanks
Brandon
Yeah, that's fine. It's kind of a big container to be putting in your fridge, but that is okay.

Well, its plenty big for breeding, however you'll need multiple boxes. One to keep the worms, one to keep the "aliens" and one to put the full grown beetles that are mating. Then every 2 weeks you have to move the beetles to a new box.
Jeff
why do you have to move them? i don't and never have and have had a breeding colony for a couple years now.
amanda
Moving them allows you to keep the box clean basically. If your moving the eggs into a cage for babys/eggs and then pupating etc etc it just makes it easier to get the size of mealie you want to feed. One box for hatchlings one for juvie/full grown, and one for beatles/eggs to keep it clean.
