I don't know anything about feeding them, but they sell mantids at my garden center.

I think they would be perfect for baby chameleons, or any kind. I found a nearly starved to death anole in my house and put her in the big 30 gallon raising tank (used to be cricket cage, they laid tons of eggs, so mantis had tons of food). She gobbled the mantis up and is now big and fat. Even Bender (fisher cham) would eat the baby mantis. gardeningzone.com/cgi-bin/gardeningzone/RPMEC.html is where I bought mine. Each egg case will hatch out between 50-200 mantis. I got 3 and all hatched. first one had about 80, second, 180, last one about 100. Hard to count the little guys lol

im happy...i found some egg cases outside yesturday.

they are small ones but once they hatch im gunna either raise half or let half go the rest are food.

First you find an egg case, FREE food!
Then you decide to release half of them. Very cool.

Are you talking about a praying mantis or a mantids. Is this the insect or the lizard. I saw the pictures a few back of the lizard. Could a praying mantis hurt my panther and how old should i wait till he could eat a praying mantis??

Thanks
