Got her appetite back

dfr Mar 10, 2004 09:39 PM

` This is the big female who had the gestation problem.
` She last ate 6 weeks ago.
` I fed some others, tonight. She got all worked up when she smelled the rats thawing. So, I fed her a light meal. She usually gets 5 to 6 one pounders. This time she got 3, 20 ouncers. She's still hunting.
` If appetite is any indicator, she's OK.

Rich,
Glad to hear that she is doing better. Excellent job removing the artifacts of her last pregnancy. Unfertilized retained ova many times do not present a big problem, but the retained neonate would probably have been fatal to her if you had not removed it. She has excellent color for her size and age, one of the best I have seen.
