So is it to be assumed that with a UTH I will have to use a rheostat? I had one UTH and the temp was perfect for a week then it quit working. Got another one and put digital therm on surface and the temp just kept climbing and climbing. I couldnt get in under control.. so its off and I just use overhead heat at the moment.
Also is heat tape safe under wood? I am assuming thats what people are doing under wood cages? I always thought other types of heat tape, wrap etc were fire hazards, is that true?
