new garter

i just found a baby garter snake maybe a week old i'm not sure how to tell i was just judging by the size but i'm not sure what kind it is it has red cheeks and a yellow stripe down it's back and red dots on it's side oh yah and if it helps any i found it in the northwest Vancouver WA. i'll take a pic later and put it on here thanks

It is probably the Oregon Red-Spotted Garter, Thamnophis sirtalis concinnus. I am not sure about your geography but the description fits and these are found in part of Washington.
