Martin, glad to hear it! Between my scientific mind and my recent gullibility I am more skeptical than ever! But it does stand to reason about males being ALOT more common to find than females...especially certain times of the year! When I find mine about 80-90% are in blue(due to a long cold winter or a particularly wet season)and are heating up under cover to fight off that naturally occuring bacteria that causes blisters.I think this is a good reason why alot of eastern milks are not good feeders to start with.Makes sense doesnt it??Also, finding females is MUCH easier(and the ratios even out)after they have laid and gone through a post-laying shed(mid-late summer).Any other opinions on this??Jeff

Well this puts the count from that loclity at 2.2 for last year. I can't remember the exact dates but It seems like they were pretty equally spaced out across their active season. I really should have known if I had really thought about it because the one that I had mis-sexed as female is probably the biggest I've ever seen.
