Podocnemis erthrocephala

MBarr Mar 11, 2004 11:11 AM

I would appreciate any info from anyone that has kept this species. Actually they look like unifilis but key as erthrocephala. Does anyone think they can be hibernated outdoors in Houston? Thanks.

Absoutely not!!!!! Podocnemis has zero cold tolerance. You would be killing a very rare and hard to aquire turtle. I had three and, for Podocnemis, they were realtiely hardy, but eventually I lost them all.
