UroJade Mar 11, 2004 03:57 PM

is it unusual for Sheba to drink water everyday? i've been dripping it down the plexi glass or into her plate and she'll drink everyday or every otherday could it be a side effect of something that could be wrong with her? or is it normal? george will only drink when i soak him

What species is she?

Rainbow Bentis *must* have water. As far as I know, they're the only uros of which this is true. Malis and a few others drink on occasion, if the opportunity presents itself. Also, are you feeding fresh greens? These are the primary source of moisture for most uros.

she's a Saharan and yes i give her fresh greens everyday but she's really intrested in the water everytime i offer it to her

I offer my Saharans a drink every two weeks or so - they take it about half the time. They eat fine (plenty of greens, etc), but I figure if they need/want it, I'll let them have it.
