What kind of turtle is this?

emumaster17 Mar 11, 2004 05:23 PM

We found this turtle in my friends pool. There is no chlorine or anything its just dirty water. It has pretty bad shell rot and its under shell isn't fully developed. Im thinking maybe from malnourishment. What can I do to help him get better and to help his shell rot? I would really appreciate it if someone could tell me what kind of turtle it is. We think it is either a baby snapping turtle or a baby musk turtle. Any help is appreciated.

yep, it is pretty blurry, but I am pretty sure that it is a musk turtle. Watch out for his stink! hee hee.
Just give him some TLC and good foor, and he should be right as rain!

like everybodys telling you its probaly a musk. just wanted to add that musk turtles have real small plastrons so that undershell isnt suposed to be as big as other turtles.
