Is it normal for a breeding male not to eat?

Passport Mar 11, 2004 08:31 PM

My 9yr old Brooksi has refused every offer of food since he came out of brumation. He has bred his female 3 times and the last time I put her with him she absolutely would not let him breed her so I removed her. Two questions please....How long after breeding should I be able to feel/palpate eggs? And how long will my male be interested in nothing but breeding? He is looking thin to me as he was a hugh boy to begin with. Need some reassurance. Thanks.

Sometimes they will but if they don't, that's fine too. One track mind.

No worry...
