mealworm breeding

Just about any size container will work for a mealworm colony--it just depends on how many mealworms you intend to have in it. <G>

I'd start a colony with 50 to 100 worms in a container that size, let it go for 4 to 6 months, then start feeding off the second generation worms. Just use a relatively thick layer of substrate/food.
