crested gecko with a black tail

peterparker Mar 11, 2004 08:55 PM

I have a juvenile crested gecko who recently( about a week ago) shed. Today I noticed that the underside of his tail is black, but the the top side is white. I've never noticed this before. Is this normal and I just never noticed till now, or is something wrong? The top side is still a healthy off white. Everything else seems O.K. Any insight would be greatly appreciated to quell my new owner nerves.

if he was able to shed and humidity is ok, there is
no need to worry.
i also got a male crested with very dark tail underside.
just check that the gecko was able to shed completely.
