Is this adequate growth? (PICS)...

herperjames Mar 11, 2004 09:16 PM

This is my male ghost, Casper (very original name ) when he was about 2 months old.

And this is him when he was about 1 and 1/2 years old. Is this, in your opinion, good growth for a corn snake?

Thanks.

I have a ghost and he looks about the same size as yours at both of those ages. I measure mine to be almost 3 foot (36". Looks good to me.

can you estimate its length in the first picture (at 2 months)? i've had my corn since november and its about 4 1/2 months old now, and it looks to be about the same size as yours in the first picture... my corn right now is about 19". i'm just wondering if my corn is a little small for its age so far, or if yours was a little large, or maybe the picture is just decieving... i wish i could pic up a decent digital camera so i could illustrate, but you know how it goes... anyway, anyone have average sizes for the 4-5 month stage? just checking... thanks-

(very nice looking ghost by the way...)

That is certainly a healthy size for an 18 month old cornsnake. Looks great from where I'm sitting! Nice colours on that fella.

I named my first ghost Casper as well. His two sons I held back go by 'Boo' and 'Spook'.

Happy herping!
