Setting up a False Bottom, Waterfall

Homer1 Mar 11, 2004 10:50 PM

I just put together a small picture montage and short description of my construction of the waterfall and false bottom. I hope it helps some people out. I know I got a lot of good ideas from audiotaylor's setups when I was in the planning stages.

Very nice, great descriptions, you defn, have given me some great ideas about how to build my waterfall, i never though of adding a secondary level like that...
do you have any pics with the water flowing?

If you check out picture 6, you can see the trickle coming down the center. However, that was with a 30 gph pump. I upgraded to a 70 gph pump, but now the java moss covers so well that the cohesive property of water really keeps the water from splashing. It's not a real high flow waterfall, but more of a means to keep the bog below full of water, and circulate the water under the false bottom.
