Hogg Island Pics

srsnakes Mar 12, 2004 11:25 AM

Some of our pictures of our Hogg Island's they are definetly some of the most wonderful, beautiful snakes we have ever had...

This is Eos, one of our first snakes and definetly Steve's favorite....

Metis: She's as beautiful as they get but she is the only snake who has soooooooooooooo much attitude that she still gets the gloves in order to change her water, but WOW those colors are amazing!

And their mate Helios the lucky little stud

Welll i hope this works...

Sincerely,
Rose Hipskind

Thanks for the comments on my new boy. I looked at you website the other day and saw these guys. Great looking snakes. I think Hoggs are one of the prettiest natural looking boas that their are.

Don’t tell me that. I know I have only had him a couple of days but it looks like I have my work is cut out for me. He has a bad attitude and I guess that I would to if I was sent on a cold night from Texas to Ohio to Florida. Then probable smelling dogs for the first time. And not being in a shoebox rack like he is used to...I would be mad too...lol

I just walk in the room and he starts hissing and puffing. I will give him a whole week before I try picking him up...did I mention I ordered a small cage hook...I think I will need it.

Ahhhhhhhh Well Jeff... I will tell you that they calm down nicely.. Eos was our second snake ever and Steve's baby soo she was handled and passed around for hours a week, and she is the SWEETEST, kindest snake we own, if we ever have children over at our house to look at the snakes, they can hold the balls and Eos... she's getting pretty big but has never ever shown any signs of aggression towards us. and Helios is also as calm and as nice as eos, but he will get figgity if he's out to long, but ahhhh Metis... sigh she... well let me tell you the story, Steve and I drove to go and pick her up and it was about a 2 hour trip home, once we got home i had taken her out to give her a good check over for skin problems, RI's general health and steve and i were beginning to think that all hoggs were just the sweetest things, at this point we had only had Eos and Helios which are jus the best, and about half way through the check over Metis looks at me and decided she'd like to bite me right in the side of the face, OUCH! after that she started hissing and screaming, soooo into her new home she went... LOL.... its a good story, now atleast she will start hissing and give us notice when she doesnt want her water changed or poop cleaned up, or us to walk by the front of her tank whatever it maybe... anyways i just want you to know that all of them have calmed down with handling and i wish you good luck with your new baby... if you want a mate for them, you contact us next year since we should have both hypo-hogg and pure hoggs islands... both our girls come from good backgrounds and we are really proud of there beautiful colors.. Anyways good luck with that little guy.. contact us with some pics and updates... thank you for your comments..

Sincerely,
Rose Hipskind
