I lost Tia - my gecko

lele Mar 12, 2004 11:44 AM

I hadn't seen her on her on her usual nightly perch so i wondered then I got worried. i just took the tank apart and could only find Gaia. i am just heartsick. She must have gotten out when I fed them - but I am soooo careful b/c they are so hard to see. She was given to me by a Petco employee who found her in the back of the store - she was an itty bitty baby and was thriving! If she got in the walls she probably became mouse food. If my cats found her they surely would have let me know. Any suggestions on attracting her? Thought I don't hold out hope. I am very sad This comes just a week after I sent the J sisters to their freedom in FL.

Lele,
While I don't have a great plan for attracting back a house gecko, my wife's name is Tia, and credit cards, vacations and dessert seem to do the trick. Good luck.

...you brought a smile to my face in my sorrow, I guess I'll leave my Visa, flight itinerary and some chocolate mousse out for her

thanks

Sorry to hear about Tia right after you let J and J out in Florida. If it was a tropical gecko, then I would say to leave out some strawberry apple sauce but that might no work. Check near an source that emits heat. Also check behind couches and at the top of ceilings. They like to hang out on the walls.
