welll... there is only one true way to tell and that is to take him/her to the vet or someone who knows how to probe the animal and they will be able to tell you whether its a boy or a girl... there is "other" ways but none of them are 100% correct but i can truely say it works well when you have another snake to compare it to, but usually the end of the tail from the vent to the tip will be longer if its a male, but since you have no comparision animal it will be hard another way is to rub the tail of the animal from the vent to the tip < I think this only works for animals that are younger than a year, i think once they get up that bigger than that it becomes harder to tell, but.............if you rubb your finger down the tail and feel a "bump" its suppost to mean that its a male...I know this works on some of my animals some of the time... i hope this helps but i think the best way is to take it to the vet and have him probe the snake, it will be about 20 dollars and its super fast and easy... anyways i hope this helps... good luck with the little devil.. i know you will enjoy the snake, and if you dont at least your husband will... enjoy!
Sincerely,
Rose Hipskind
