Whiptaildude05!

Hey man,
I saw probably the weirdest thing I've
ever seen the other day.
You told me about the fact that you were
wondering about the Whiptails I've seen,
so that day I went out to look for some more,
and well, I found one, must've been a sub-adult, and no sooner
did I begin to stalk it when BAM! out of the sky, an American Kestral swoops in and grabs it. The bird started to make a screaming noise, and then gave the now dead whiptail to its mate.....It was weird... and, kinda cool at the same time.
Anyway, I did find another one. So they're out.

Yours,
Phil

Hey man,
I have tried noosing whiptails, but they generally
wiggle free because their necks are very slender.
Nooses work great with the larger lizards, i.e
Spineys, Leopards, Desert Igs and Collareds.
I even noosed an HL once, but they are so slow
most of the time (compared to other lizards),
I just normally run them down. Here's an interesting
technique that I had to try before I believed.
With Whiptails, getting close is really difficult.
I was told get a super soaker, or comparable
water gun. Fill it with Ice cold water, and when you see your quarry, shoot. Its worked for me on a juvie whiptail, a leopard lizard, countless Side Blotches, and an escaped Collared Lizard. When its really hot outside the cold water shocks them into moving super slow. Its kinda weird,
but it works. Well, if you try it tell me about your results.

Yours,
Phil
