This is just a general question that I have not found the answer to by searching. Knowing that many females will lay eggs whether or not they are fertile, I was just wondering when a male actually fertilizes the eggs? Would he do it before she was gravid or while she is? My guess is before she is gravid, but I wanted to be sure. The reason I am asking is because I have a male and a female and she looks as if she has eggs. This is my first time attempting to breed anything and I want to understand everything about this. Any help would be appreciated.
