Ball Python cage heigth

eighteenmonther Mar 12, 2004 03:47 PM

Can an adult BP's cage height be 5 1/2 - 6 inches? I've heard they do like the tight enclosed "roofs" of their cages.

Thanks!

I do believe that ball pythons do well in short cages. However, if you prefer the look of a taller cage it's not difficult to provide them with extra security.

Doors, windows, etc. will be a bit more tricky if you build a cage this short. Unless you mean a plastic box for a rack.

I keep my big female ball in a 2'tall cage and she loves it. She comes out at night to climb all around on her logs. I like to give all my snakes a little extra room to move around in, but thats just me.
