Arrow Frog Beginner Question

InsideOutsider13 Mar 12, 2004 04:39 PM

Hey, I am just beginning to look into arrow frogs, and I figured that this was a good place to start my research! I noticed that most people set up vivariums for these frogs because everything just kinda blends together with it. Now, besides a vivarium, how could you go about setting up a tank with these little guys in it? What substrates could you use to keep the frogs happy, provide a realistic look, and to make sure no small crickets get underneath of it. Also, any pictures and random information provided are helpful.

Hi!

I'm new to dart frogs myself. One thing that I have found while searching for information on housing them is that it can be as simple or complicated as you want to make it. A nice display tank sure is nice to look at with a waterfall and custom background. But I'v also seen nice setups in 10 gallon tanks with just soil and plants. This is more practical for the people that REALLY have the bug and have a lot of frogs. You can't have them all in nice big display tanks. Or can you...

There are many pics, links and how to's in this forum, it's where I got most of my info. Unfortunatly it basically comes down to reading all the posts to find it. I enjoyed it.

Good luck!
