HL's this season

Is anyone going out looking this weekend?

I am going to be heading up to CHL country to see if anything is stirring.

If anyone else is out and about, post some photos if you see anything!

Hey Cable,

I'll be out too, and it would be nice to find
any HL. At any rate, I'll go get some film today
and hope for good conditions tomorrow and the next day.
Good luck, and happy herping.

Yours,
Phil

Hey Phil,
Have you been herping out north of town on the 15 up there? I can't for the life of me remember the roads I was on up that way but I did see some DHL sign late last season.
The first road was about 2 or 3 miles out of town I believe. Go up the 15, get off on that exit and hang a right. Went up about .5 miles and just started off into the desert on the right side of the road.
The other spot I tried was a few miles further up the 15. Exit and hang a left. It turns into a dirt road and is where all the offroaders go.
I am just curious if you have ever been herping at either place and seen DHLs?
Cheers!

hey Cable,
seeing any HLs around here has been somewhat of a rarity lately.
I know in my hometown, they've become isolated to the foothills of the mountains that we have. I find sign all the time at both locations, and lots of others for that matter, but those lizards who left them don't usually show themselves. Its been about three years since I found a DHL here, but lots of sign. I'm not sure if they're necessarily rare, or if they're just THAT good at hiding. I don't go out but maybe a few times a month, since maintaining my own reptiles is quite a daily task. If I find any, I'll let you know. If you want to e-mail me privately, I can talk to you more about this. =) Nice CHL.
They're my favorites. I hope you keep on finding them. Anyway
talk to ya later

Yours,
Phil
