I tend to think the answer to this question would definitely be the veiled chameleons. Captive bred, of course. Over the past few years, I have kept & bred various cham species. And the veileds seem to be the hardiest & most forgiving. However, you are going to have your share of health problems with all species of reptiles.
This is just from my own personal experiences. Let's see what everyone else thinks.

I purchased my first chameleon and he is lots of fun, he is a male jacksons and he is so easy to take care of! I recommend Jacksons

Just out of curiosity, how long have you had your jax? I would not classify ANY chameleon as "easy" in any sense. Jax are very sensitive to over-supplementation and like all chams need extensive watering/misting. They're prone to foot infections and temporal gland infections. Telling a newbie that they're "easy" suggests to me that you haven't had yours very long. Sorry, I don't mean this to be quite as snotty as it seems to be coming out. But get really terrified when I hear someone say that any cham is "easy."

Hi-

The top 3 chameleons would be 1. Veileds 2. Panthers and 3. Jackson's in that order as far as care goes. All CBB, WC are not the way to go for a first time chameleon owner. I would do your homework on the 3 and see what one you like best and can give proper care to. Some good sites are but not limited to:

Hope this helps!
