I have a couple of questions about cage size

mabelbomb Mar 13, 2004 01:05 AM

My friend is looking to build a cage for two adult water dragons and he was wanting to know the best size for the two? Does anyone have any great plans for the cages, ideas and or pics that would be helpful. Also he is looking to introduce his male and female to each other so they can live in the cage together. What would be the best way to introduce them to one another. Thanks to anyone in advance with any advice.

For a pair, 6x3x4 is a good size, bigger is better. Once he is done with the cage, he can add both of them, since the cage will be neutral territory for them. They must be closely monitered and separated if there is any aggression. It is normal for there to be some head bobbing, arm waving, back licking and even charging at each other, but if there is biting or serious fighting they should be separated.

I agree with dragon girl, that sounds like a reasonable size.

It's got to be big so they can have their privacy and whatnot.
