My gargoyle finally layed her eggs!!

RandyS Mar 13, 2004 09:06 AM

My female gargoyle layed her eggs after being (visually) gravid for over two months! The eggs were alot bigger than I expected ( twice the size of crested eggs and just about as big as my chahoua's eggs). I was getting very worried she was egg bound but she is fine and the eggs look fertile. The pic was taken 3 weeks ago and she got even bigger before laying last night. Her color has already come back and she's back to looking very red. The last two weeks before laying, her color was very washed out and light. This is her frist clutch so maybe her next will be easier on her.

I was also shocked by the size of auric eggs, and the size of the hatchlings. My first clutch form striped parents hatched a couple weeks ago. One is striped the other is mottled. Very nice female you have there.
