I have had my creamie for about 2 and a half months now. I really would like to know what s/he is. My snake is about 18"long right now. Is there a sure way to sex it right now. I am very inexperienced with snakes (this is my first) and I don't know how to probe. Wouldn't want to hurt the little thing. I don't even think that my local pet store where I bought my snake would be willing to probe for me. What is my best bet? Thanks for your time!

Brandon, I would NOT probe it if you've never done it before AND I would be careful who you let probe it for you. I had an experienced friend show me how and it seems that you almost ALWAYS need two people to do it. PLUS, it gets messy since most snakes defecate in response to the stress it causes them. I would take a pic of the tail of it and post it on the forum. Some may be able to tell by the tail although its NOT always accurate. Plus, its probably too big to accurately pop the hemipenes now (just my opinion). If I were you, I'd probably rely on the 'look' of the tail.
