Scales has some cage packages.... I like the 24x24x36" tall cages, because they keep the chameleon within range of the 5.0 bulbs more than the 48" cages do. Either will work. Here's their link:

where can i get 24 24 36?

TylerStewart Mar 13, 2004 01:33 PM

That link I said in the earlier post has the complete cage packages on it. Scroll halfway down the page, the package is called "The Breeder" and it's $149 plus shipping. Here's the address again:

Hi-

I would not recommend buying a packaged deal. Often times they are packed with cheep and unnecessary items for chameleons to make the deal look better then it really is. Your best bet will be to get a list together of what you need/want and buy everything separate. This will avoid from buying doubles of some things down the road. You will not find cheaper prices then www.reptiledepot.com. Below is a list of products that are recommended:

1. Cage
2. UVB light
3. Light fixtures
4. Basking Bulb
5. Supplements (repcal if you don't already have them)
6. Digital Temp/humidity gauge
7. Vines
8. Live plants
9. Dripper/auto mister

You can see the latest setup article I wrote, along with Vince in detail, HERE. I'm not saying you need this info just gives you all the options and this article was written around panthers!

Hope this helps!

i agree with the previous post but a better idea is to get LLLreptile.com to price match everything form reptiledepot.com. LLL will take off 10% off each item that is price matched so your actually saving 10% off reptiledepots prices. I landed up doing this for everything i need now plus their shipping prices are cheaper too!! Go to lll and check out their price match set up. Wont find it cheaper anywhere!!!

Thought of a few others. Obvious items like UV florescent bulbs, cage, ect you will need to get online and again I suggest LLLrepitle.com with their price match and additional 10%. A way to save is to go to home depot, pick up a florescent fixture for your UV bulb. Its much cheaper then a hood online or at a pet store (can be found for under $10) Another thing to do is get a ceramic socket dome fixture from home depot as well and get some halogen light bulbs. You don't need to spend extra money on reptile bulbs when a normal indoor outdoor halogen bulb provides a ton of heat and GE makes bulbs with a 4 year warranty! Find that on a reptile bulb.

thank you so much, how exactly do you use the price match thing for lllreptile vs reptile depot?

deuce02 Mar 13, 2004 11:10 PM

shop LLL like you would normally, but when about to put an item in your shopping cart, they have a comments area. In that area type in the website and the price and they will handle the rest. If you need more info on how it works send them an email. they have been more then great with returning emails with any questions i had in the past.
