Outdoor Caging

cornelius85 Jun 11, 2003 12:47 PM

I was wondering what everyone does for outdoor caging for their bearded dragons. I have been working in my new backyard quite a bit and have taken my beardies out with me in tubs, but I would like to build some more permanent cages so I can leave them out there without worrying that something might eat them, or they might escape.

Any pictures or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The cage is for iguanas but it is very easily adapted for beardies by using smaller spacing screen and less height.

Here is a picture of one of my outdoor cages. I also have a more vertical cage in which I house three sub-adult female dragons. These cages were easy to build - measure 4'x4'x2'high - and I built two of them for just around $100-150. I'm trying to get all of my beardies outside, little by little. I also keep chuckwallas outside, and tegus.
