Need some links to high quality/care dragon breeders..

spyizard Jun 11, 2003 12:48 PM

Either online ordering or by phone to a non-retail hobbyist

Any links to their websites would be nice.

I see links to many reptile breeders websites on the main page but more specific links for bearded dragon breeders would be nice.

Thanks in advance

I would try www.dachiu.com (Vicki & Rob)

I have bought 2 dragons from them in the past (2001) and both are among my biggest and healthiest w/ awesome personalities. I also have been to Vicki and Robs on a few occasions and their setup and care of the dragons is remarkable. They are great people and great bearded dragon breeders as well!

Also you can try www.vandivers.com (Jackie & Tom)

I have not bought any dragons from Jackie and Tom but I know that you would not be disappointed. They hold onto their dragons till 3-4 months of age, sometimes longer to make sure you are getting a healthy, well established baby. They put a lot of time and care into their babies and most of theirs, if not all eat very good on rep cal pellets (something not easily accomplished sometimes).

Goodluck on your search. There are tons of great breeders out there. Many of which I would buy from if I wasnt already maxed out

You could also try
www.sundialreptile.com

Dont forget to talk with and/or e-mail some of the newer breeders like those who post on this forum. They may not have established their name yet in the bearded business world but that doesnt mean their babies arent as gorgeous and healthy. Just use common sense and research before you buy so you know what types or signs to look for to prevent buying a sick dragon. Also when you do buy your new baby remember to follow proper quarantine procedures and to have a fecal ran as many babies will have parasites (from being fed live prey like crickets) but wont show signs until they become stressed from things like shipping, new home etc.

Goodluck, LindsayMarie
