i bought a frilled in october 2003, so hes now about6 - 7 months old!i make sure he eats well but he just doesn't seem to be growing. he measures around 9 inch's. does anybody have any ideas if this is good or bad? he has all the apropriate heating and lighting vitamins and minerals and i put him into a smaller container so i can monitor him eating. he eats locust crickets and waxworms all dusted. he sleeps fine but is not very sociable although he seems fine once hes been out for a while.please help im very worried.

9" is really small for a 7mo dragon! My 1.5 month old babies are already at the 8" mark. Any way, make sure you are feeding him a lot. My babies eat about 4 doz crickets a day. If you are offering all they can eat and he is still not growing you should take a fecal sample to your vet. If a frilled has paraisites they will often get thin and fail to thrive. Hope I helped some, Jake.

What are the cage temps (hot side & cool side)? The canned grasshoppers are probably too large and have a lot of undigestible exoskeleton. I would stick to mostly 1/2" crickets. Once he/she gets a couple of inches longer, you can occasionally feed him/her a small pinkie. You should probably get a fecal done to rule out parasites.
