True Suriname redtail boa.

I can tell you 100% for sure that this is a Suriname redtail boa.The reason I`m able to be so certain is because I captured this animal myself about 2 kilometers outside of Paramaribo. The animals found near the city are the most beautiful much lighter with more pink then the ones that are found in the interior. The animals originating from the "city site" are also smaller usually not more then 6ft and unfortunately seem more prone to tick scaring then "jungle snakes". Are they smaller because of genetics, or because people tend to kill them before they get too big in the populated areas?

GIVE A LITTLE MORE INFORMATION ON EXACTLY HOW YOUR WERE ABLE TO CAPTURE THIS ANIMAL? DO YOU LIVE IN SOUTH AMERICA? PLEASE GIVE MORE INFO. THANKS, BILL

Ok shes about 3 1/2 ft.yes the size is a genetic trait of animals found around the city site as it`s called.Anacondas can also be found in the area as well as rainbow boas.Usaualy the only snake that s killed on sight is bothrops atrox. These guys really do pose a danger.Boas do very well in populated areas and are fairly common. In Suriname they have chicken farms these places attract a lot of rats and boas are often found around them.No I don`t live in Suriname I was there for a few weeks visiting some exporters and then going deep into the jungle with Indian trappers to collect.I caught the snake in the photo by dumb luck I just went for a stroll one evening while staying at a friends place near Paramaribo and simply came across it crossing the road. CAN YOU PLEASE SHARE SOME PHOTOS OF YOUR JOURNEY? I'VE ALWAYS DREAMED OF COLLECTING BOAS WITH THE NATIVES. WHEN AND IF I GET THE OPPORTUNITY, IT WILL BE WELL DOCUMENTED WITH LOTS OF PHOTOS.
