Who are the best Dumeril's Breeders?

INdyShark Mar 13, 2004 07:32 PM

I plan to purchase a baby Dum this year and I've been watching the ads over the last year to see who has the best looking babies.

I have been watching Classic Dumerils, Basically Boas, EBV, Lone Star Boas, and Sun Serpent Snake Farm. Does anyone have any other recomendations or good experience with one of these breeders?

Thanks all!

Those all look like good guys to me...

It probably depends on what you mean by the "best."
Best price? or quality? or availability?

Just make sure your baby comes from 2 different bloodlines.

I can't get a hold of the guy at this site, but he seems to know a couple things about dums that aren't discussed much in the states... http://www.pythons-boas.de/dumerili.htm Maybe you'll have better luck....

Sorry, I want a high quality Dum with a lot of color. I'd prefer to find one that will keep it's color as it ages.

Tim has great dumerils, I picked up a pair from him a couple years ago to add to the dumerils collection. Well, Tim being the nice guy that he is sent me a little reminder e-mail that these dumerils he sent me were escape artist and he even included a picture showing me an example of places he has found them. Now anyone that knows of Tim should already know that this e-mail was just another one of Tim's crazy antics....If you get around to it Charles, you should see if Tim even remembers what I'm talking about and have him send you this pic! I was honestly doubled over in laugther...because for some reason I thought he might actually be serious as one of the baby dumerils had escaped out of his container in the shipping box when I received them. If I still knew where the pic was on my computer I'd forward it to you myself. I just hope Tim wasn't the one that posed for the picture!!!! Take care

Don't forget PBM on here, he has some really nice dumerils too!!! We should have several litters of dumerils this year, yeah I can't wait, I love baby season. You have a good list there, I would stick with those and wait for the babies and find one you like. Make sure it's eating well and find out what it's eating, they can be picky little guys sometimes, also find out what type and size of cage they have been keeping it in. That helps with the settling in process if you try to keep it about the same. Good luck and I hope you find a knock out dumerils wherever you find it! They are truly wonderful snakes.

Thanks Paul! I checked the breeder list and could not figure out who PBM was! lol

Do you have a website? Thank you for the offer on the females, but I'd like to get a male, if possible.

It was late when I read that....I mean to tell you it had to be mid-afternoon! By that time my arthritis was flaring up, my recent hip replacement really felt like it needed a tune up already, and since I get up every day before the rooster crows, I was just plain beat. LMAO! So, forgive my old age, and accept my Thanks for the plug! Hope you guys are doing good. Take care!

Paul

P.S. Indyshark....no website, but if you have anything you'd like to discuss just drop me an e-mail. Thanks!
