I love planted vivariums, and I was wondering how feasible it would be to keep healthy conditions with vivarium substrates. Personally, I'm not sure how it could be done, but I'm open to suggestions.
Thanks again

I've got a bromiliad and some air plants in with my ATB. My GTP has some pothos (in water). ETBs and GTPs are reletively inactive as far as snakes go; you could probably get away with some potted plants without much damage. However, soil can become septic if not changed regularly. Since ETBs don't have much soil contact you might not have too much trouble. ATBs are a bit more active, but less heavy bodied. They may uproot or damage plants. Cleanliness is the big issue. All arboreal snakes will appreciate the added cover that plants give them and the air will be cleaner too.
