Im going to invest in a thermostat that I found online at Apple something for 33 dollars plus shipping.

I see breeders with tons of geckos in the plastic tubs in racks etc. How in the world do u all keep steady temps for racks when I can barely maintain a 20g long?

Thanks

aquariums are a lot harder to heat than plastic tubs for one. Also most breeders have room temps that are like 70 degrees.

70 not 88 so how do they heat em and light em all?

they heat the racks with heat tape on a thermostat and the light from the room is the light for them...leos are nocturnal anyways so they dont even need any extra light...

With my large (and getting larger) group of geckos i'm planning on turning one of my large shelving units into a rack so heating is a bit easier. Right now i have tanks setup for the geckos and despite lighting and all of the under tank heaters cranked, maintaining nice warm temps is getting hard. The room temps fluctuates to much even with constant heat (there must be some insulation issues around the window cause sitting here i can feel a draft). Going to be working on that tomorrow. I'm hoping
its just stuck and not shutting properly.
